We are seeking an experienced Data Architect professional to join our team and take a leadership role in shaping the data architecture strategy for our technological project. As a Senior Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data solutions that support our clients’ complex business needs.

Description of the position

This is a full-time role for a Senior Data Architect at ThePineappleCo, with flexibility for remote work. As a Data Architect, your role is design and manage data solutions in cloud for our organization and our customers. You will be responsible for creating data architecture strategies, defining data models, overseeing data management practices and working with ETL tools to extract, transform and load data. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll assess data requirements, ensure data integrity, and optimize data storage and retrieval processes. Your expertise in data governance, security, and emerging technologies will drive our data-driven decision-making capabilities. With an analytical mindset and a focus on scalability, you’ll contribute to the effective utilization of data assets, making a significant impact on our organization’s and projects success.

Responsabilities
  • Lead the development and maintenance of data architecture standards, principles, and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess data requirements and design scalable and efficient data solutions.
  • Design and optimize data models, databases, and data lakes.
  • Define data governance and quality standards, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging data technologies and tools to enhance the data capabilities.
  • Oversee data migration, integration, and transformation processes.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data architecture, data flows, and data dictionaries.
  • Provide technical expertise in data security and compliance.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data architecture and management.
Profile Requeriments
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in data architecture or related fields are advantageous.
  • Minimum 7 years of proven experience designing and implementing complex data architectures.
  • Strong understanding of data security, and compliance.
  • Expertise in data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Proficiency in data management technologies, including SQL, NoSQL, ETL tools, and Big Data platforms.
  • Experience with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is needed.
  • Experience defining and enforcing data governance policies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of english is required. Spanish is a plus.
